I am currently professor and chair of the Sociology Department at Hardin Simmons University. I have been teaching here for 13 years and I love what I do. Teaching college students at a Christian University is inspiring, interesting and sometimes entertaining!
When I am not teaching, I am involved in several professional organizations that reflect my interests. These include the Texas Council on Family Relations, the National Council on Family Relations, the American Sociological Association, and Groves Conference on Marriage and Family.
I also have interests outside academia that include being with my family (especially my grandchildren, Eliot, Harper, and Georgia), traveling, and quilting. Glad you are here!
